Hi, I'm GM Noël Studer
I played my first rated chess game in 2006, only 10 years of age. Ever since I was hooked with this beautiful game and always tried to find new ways to improve my skills.
After finishing high school in 2015, I embarked on a six-year journey as a professional chess player, during which I had the honor of working with some of the world’s best coaches, such as Jacob Aagaard, Ramesh RB, Artur Yusupov, and Iossif Dorfman.
I became the youngest ever Swiss Grandmaster in 2017, won over 10 national titles and reached a peak rating of 2588 FIDE. In 2021 I retired from competitive chess and started working full time as a coach, author & content creator.
In these years, I’ve reached over a Million people with 200 Articles, 60+ podcast episodes and a YouTube channel.
I also taught 2000+ people with my courses.

In a digital world with a lot of noise and confusion, my work helps you cut through the noise and focus on what really matters. Most of my readers and students are adult improvers rated between 800-2200 Elo online.
